About Sky

I moved from the world of experimental theater & dance to architectural training in 2002. Before starting this solo venture, I developed my craft-focused modernism with Medium Plenty in Oakland and premier Seattle firm Olson Kundig Architects on residential, mixed-use and institutional projects.

Design and building have always been at the heart of my life. I was born on the kitchen table of a geodesic dome built by my parents in rural Northern California. I have run the gamut of scale and material in my work, from building puppets for Julie Taymore’s Lion King on Broadway, floats for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, sets and objects for NYC’s amazing Big Dance Theater, altering my own clothes, building lighting, furniture, and constantly hacking away at my own home.  I live in Salem, Oregon with my wife Jen, our son Rufus, two cats, and a puppy.
